Kadriye- Belek Golf Society News!!

The first of our October Competitions was held at the Montgomerie on Tuesday October 5^th. Once again we had a very good turn out, with around 30 Members taking part. Prize Giving took place on the Club House Terrace afterwards.

We would like to thank Mike Gillender and Brian White for all their assistance at the beginning and end of the Competition. Due to Michael recovering in Hospital after an operation, I certainly needed some help with the Score Cards etc…!!

As the Competition had two “start times”, we gave Prizes for 1^st, 2^nd, 3^rd and 4^th Places as it was not possible for everyone to take part with Nearest the Pin and Longest Drive.

The Winner was Gert Schaap (pictured left) with 40 Points. In 2^nd Place was Mo Scatchard with 39 Points, who unfortunately could not be there for Prize Giving. In 3^rd Place was Mark Medley with 37 Points (pictured right) and in 4^th Place with 34 Points, and who also could not stay for the Prize Giving, was Michael Myerscough. 

 

 

 

 

With Michael still out of “action”, Mike Gillender was on hand again to help me with the Competition at the Sueno on Friday 22^nd October.

Due to the Courses being so busy at this time of Year, our numbers were limited to 28 Players.

Prize Giving took place on the terrace at the Sueno directly after Golf.

Nearest the Pin was won by Sipke Olivier, and Longest Drive was won by Nick Winter, who also was the Competition Winner with 39 Points.

In 2^nd Place was Jaap Davelaar with 36 Points and 3^rd was Martin Rosenberg with 34 Points.

Michael would like to thank everyone for their kind wishes, and he hopes to be back on the Golf Course soon.
